One of the biggest reasons I began doing Architectural Visualizations was to communicate design intent; and that's why it exists.
Hearing friends & family describe their pain points with renovations or buying a spec home wihtout seeing a model first, created a desire to help. Most people I talk to outside of a residential construction field find it challenging to understand a 2D floorplan, so showing a plan and asking for approval didn't always go well.

In this project, communicating with my client that moving the garage onto the south facing wall of his dream cabin would mean limiting windows. He agreed and we proceeded. It wasn't until we reached the preliminary render phase that he was able to understand the impact the original plan had on the natrual lighting within the kitchen. It was at this stage that designs were changed for the garage door and adding windows to the space; the result it the images you see above!
